Join us for a full day educational experience designed to help doulas recognize, respond to, and support families through urgent and unexpected birth situations with great confidence and clarity. This interactive course will cover the most common birth emergencies a doula may encounter, including signs of maternal and fetal distress, postpartum hemorrhage, awareness, emergency communication, and the doula’s role within the birth team during high pressure situations. Participants will also engage in HIPPA-compliant case reviews, guided discussion, and realistic role play scenarios to strengthen critical thinking and practical response skills. In addition to emergency preparedness, this training emphasizes how a doula’s understanding of these situations can enhance client education during pregnancy, helping families feel informed, empowered and prepared before labor begins.
